Support Measure GG: Support our community

Editor,

My family moved to Piedmont for the schools AND for the public safety. Having a local police and fire department won’t protect everyone from all crimes and accidents, but knowing that our professional first responders have the ability to respond in 5 minutes or less is very reassuring.

These services are paid for by tax dollars which are allocated annually by our elected leaders, supported by volunteer financial experts, and professional city staff. The entire process is public and the proposed and approved budgets are posted on the City’s web site at https://piedmont. ca.gov. The budget reflects our community’s priorities of fiscal responsibility and public safety. This is reflected in the fact that the vast majority of operating expenditures go to the police, fire, and public works departments.

When people ask me what Measure GG will support, I tell them it will support what our community values. It will support all the things that make Piedmont a safe place to live and raise our families. Please join me in voting Yes on Measure GG.
